I finally found something to do with the big ball of bailing twine we have from a few years worth of bales!

Violets

On herbmentor this month the herb of the month are violets (viola odorata). Green Deans violet video is very good. (As are his other videos). Last year Amy made Violet Jelly. We picked for three days , I think, until we had enough for 4 pints of jelly. The lavender color of the jelly is beautiful, the jelly was great too. The violet syrup was a nice change on our pancakes.
